Flossie J. Hogle, age 89, died on Friday, May 29, 2009 in Savannah.
The Conway, South Carolina native had lived in Savannah since 1948 and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Church Historian. She was very proud of her travels to the Holy Land which she had done three times. She graduated from the Practical Nursing School at Savannah Vocational Technical School and retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Memorial Medical Center in 1984.
Mrs. Hogle was preceded in death by her parents, William Berry and Mattie Cartrette Hardee, her husband, Harold William Hogle and two daughters, Ruby Carolyn Bilodeau and Jean Audry Hussy. She is survived by one son, Wendell Terrance Hogle; two grandsons, Willis B. Gilliam Terry and James H. Gilliam Tricia; three sisters, Mable Gore, Bertis South LaVerne and Grace Hunger; one brother, James B. Hardee Eunice; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation: 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Tice officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
